On Saturday, April 29, 2017 Dr. Ahmet Selim Tekelioglu, a research fellow with the Diyanet Islamic Research Institute presented a case study of Muslim life and institutions in the city of Boston in a presentation entitled “Islam in America: Historical Perspectives, Current Dynamics.”
Tekelioglu’s talk was part of Diyanet Institute’s 2017 Spring Intensives Series. Based on his doctoral research project, Tekelioglu examined broader narratives on Islam in the US through a closer look at Masjid Alhamdulillah, Masjid al-Qur’an and Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center. The Intensives Series will continue through the month of May.
